Lucy R. Lippard - Écrits féministes sur l’art

Lucy R. Lippard (1937) is regarded as a key art critic and curator, celebrated for her writings on conceptual art and her commitment to feminist struggles. *Lucy R. Lippard: Feminist Writings on Art* brings together six essays published between 1971 and 2013, previously unpublished in French. Covering a wide range of subjects, they offer incisive reflections on the political power of art, written with great attention to the works and artists, including Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge, Eva Hesse, Ketty La Rocca, Suzanne Lacy, Suzy Lake and Tania Mouraud. These texts also trace the career of Lucy R. Lippard, from the numerous feminist, anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist collectives she co-founded in New York in the 1970s and 1980s to Galisteo (New Mexico), where she has lived since 1993 and grapples with issues surrounding the exploitation of the Western territories. This book traces a constantly evolving quest to give a voice to minority voices and lives, all too often neglected by the dominant discourse in the art world.

Marie Adjedj holds a PhD in art history and teaches at the EESAB in Quimper. By drawing on art history, exhibition theory and art criticism, she explores the political dimensions of art as they have emerged since the late 1960s.

Rosanna Puyol Boralevi is a poet, translator and editor, and collaborates with artists on exhibitions, reading programmes, video and performance projects. A co-founder of Brook Editions, her book *D’l’or* was published by After 8 Books. She is part of the translation team for *The Funambulist* magazine.
