Weiner's drawing oeuvre, ranging from notebooks containing installation plans, book layouts and notes, to formal drawing works, providing insight into the artist's view of the world, and thus, into the core of his work. Weiner designed a plate section for Written on the Wind in collaboration with book designer Filiep Tacq, which consists of more than 120 drawings presented within sequences of gestural graphics to provide a narrative, "drawn" chapter. Essays by Kathryn Chiong, Gregor Stemmrich and Soledad Gutiérrez cover contrasting aspects of Weiner's drawings range.
